Some important things you might want to consider as you plan your wedding
Let’s face it, with excitement comes overlooking those small details so make sure your wedding venue allow pets. What are the guidelines or limitations?
They would be just as excited for you as anyone else so expect the unexpected. You might want to practice at the venue with your furry friend so they’re familiar with the area.
Make sure all of your flowers or plants in your wedding decor are not toxic to animals.
Don’t forget to let your guest know in advance and consider those with severe allergies. Making sure everyone is comfortable and at ease will go a long way.
Do they get along with children? Or do the children not get along with them? Be sure that somebody they are familiar with leads them and keeps them from wandering off or visiting guests for affection.
No need to shop around months in advance for them. Dress to impress by simply adding a touch of floral/greenery or even keep it classy with a bow-tie. But remember safety over style!
Although you want them there every step of the way, you may not want them around the food being served at the reception. Be sure to have a backup plan for dog-sitting during your reception.
Now that all the worries are addressed, how would you incorporate your four legged friend into your wedding day timeline? You can get just as creative here planning as any other part of the wedding.
They would embellish any wedding photo.
They are a great crowd pleaser as your four-legged friend announces the bride’s arrival or even have the flower girl or ring bearer pull them in on a wagon.
You can include them on your wedding cake topper or a photo of them along with the table numbers
Maybe all pets aren’t fit at a wedding because of factors out of your control but it’s the thought that counts! So why not include them in an engagement session and use those photos as decor so that they are still apart of your big day.
